Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

Reports to the Senior Manager Technical Operations Line Maintenance Safety and Compliance and supports the Managing Director Line Maintenance as required for all safety and compliance issues/requirements within the designated region.

  • Coordinates the implementation of safety policies and procedures, securing resources and support from other organizations/divisions as necessary to support safety objectives of the corporation and outside regulatory agencies
  • Oversees divisional safety training and compliance efforts
  • Specific emphasis is on providing local management with information and practices that enable a reduction in the total number of injuries, injury severity, aircraft damages and total cost
  • Ensures consistent implementation of standard safety principles to improve the effectiveness of behavior analysis and incident investigation across area of responsibility
  • Serves as an active member of the IBT and IAM Union-Management Safety Committees and takes follow up action from this forum to resolve safety issues.
  • Through communication and facilitation, ensures that the region they support adheres appropriately to regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA for example) issues/requirements
  • Work with station(s) to determine root cause of injury and aircraft damage incidents
  • Share Lessons Learned
  • Work with station(s) to ensure adherence to regulatory practices
  • Support System Round Table and station labor and management groups in the resolution of safety issues
  • Work with other divisions (Flight operations, Airport operations, Inflight) to resolve cross-departmental safety issues
  • Coordinate the implementation of standard safety processes
Required
  • Airframe and Power plant licenses
  • 4 years supervisory experience, preferably in maintenance management
  • 2 years experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour Class
  • 2 years experience in Line aircraft maintenance
