Full Job Description

The Juveniles Starting Over program (JSO) at Westchester Jewish Community Services is searching for a part-time, 21-28 hour per week Coordinator. The JSO Program provides assessment and treatment services for adjudicated and non-adjudicated youth who have engaged in sexually problematic behavior. The program operates within a larger program that treats people who have experienced sexual abuse and/or family violence (Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience).

The Coordinator conducts psychosexual risk evaluations of adjudicated and non-adjudicated youth; supervises clinicians providing specialized treatment services to youth referred to the Juvenile Starting Over Program; and acts as liaison to the Probation Dept. and other referring agencies. The Coordinator provides individual, family and group therapy to youth with problematic sexual behaviors and/or their caregivers. The Coordinator oversees program development, quality assurance, and research efforts, and provides relevant training within and outside the agency. Other responsibilities include consultation within and outside of the agency and assuming a leadership role in Westchester County efforts to address the needs of youth with problematic sexual behavior.

The ideal candidate must possess a doctoral degree in Psychology; will have strong clinical skills for working with children, adolescents, adults & families; well-developed knowledge of current theory and research regarding the assessment and treatment of youth with problematic sexual behavior; and an ability to communicate effectively, in English, both orally and in writing. We seek clinicians with a particular interest in working with children and adults impacted by sexual abuse and family violence, families affected by COVID and Racial Injustice, and those who are from the LGBT and undocumented communities.

At WJCS we value our employees, their contributions, and their growth. We demonstrate this commitment with much more than highly competitive benefits and compensation – we show it everyday in the way we work together, embracing leadership behaviors that are recognized and rewarded throughout our system. We value you, your growth and contributions.
