As we continue our mission, we are building a new manufacturing team here in Waltham for our Protein products. This is a unique opportunity to be part of new growth at Abcam. You will work closely with both scientists and other laboratory team members to support production of proteins.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Effectively use various laboratory equipment such as Biological Safety Cabinets, pipettes, incubators, balances, pH meters, centrifuges
  • Follow SOPs and preform appropriate manufacturing documentation
  • Preparing solutions, buffers, and other components to specifications
  • Printing labels, and applying labels to bottles and vials
  • Preparing and maintaining proper documentation
  • Verifying the quality and quantity of the received finished goods and entering the quantities in Oracle database
  • Transfer materials to kitting/logistics team
  • Perform equipment maintenance for laboratory equipment
  • Maintain line clearance and clean work environment

You will be required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience in a fast-paced production environment. You will thrive in a team environment and have excellent organization al skills with the ability to multitask. Your background will demonstrate a strong work ethic with great time management. You are able to follow established procedures and complete the required documentation with an excellent eye for detail. You will need to be able to lift around 15lbs in weight and have great communication skills.

As this is a new team, you will need to be able to spend the first 3 weeks with us in California, training in one of our other sites, from July 11th. We will provide flights, accommodation and living expenses while you are there.
