What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the customers and account teams on Mobile Core and 3GPP technologies and standards, including but not limited to the Nokia products and solutions.
  • Be extremely flexible and self-driven, comfortable handling ambiguity, and simultaneously juggling multiple opportunities and different accounts with conflicting priorities.
  • Be able to meet with influential customer decision makers and communicate verbally or via presentation tools the exact details of Nokia’s product capabilities and the specific solutions being offered to the customer.
  • Understand customer’s cloud architecture and provide requirements/guidance to product and services teams. Also provide product requirements to the customer.
  • Participate in negotiations – features, roadmap, contract language, and provide technical risk assessment to sales and legal teams
Your skills and experience
You must have:
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Pre-Sales, systems engineer, consulting systems engineer, technical marketing engineer, and/or solution architect role covering Mobile Packet Core (3G, 4G and 5G), or demonstrated equivalence.
  • Must have a deep conceptual understanding and hands-on, testing and deployment experience of the following standards and technologies:
    • Core architecture, elements, and call flows, especially for the IMS, SDM, Signaling, Policy and Cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Openstack), the ETSI NFV model, hypervisors, underlay and overlay switching technologies.
  • Must have the following Product Development skills:
    • Experience on driving product lifecycle management requirements
    • Ability to work with R&D for adjusting product behavior to specific customer requirements
    • Ability to write detailed “Feature Request Documents” describing all the software and hardware requirements for new feature development
    • Ability to build credible business and technical arguments, including low-level technical discussions on HW and SW, to support feature development requests
  • Ability to quickly and independently master new technologies and evolving standards in various customer business disciplines.
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (or related technical degree) or equivalent experience
  • Expertise with public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
