Job Summary
This is a full-time, 12-month, fixed term, terminal academic staff position for at least one year with the possibility of renewal for up to 3 years. There will be the ability to work remotely at times (as determined by supervisor). This position requires being an independent self-starter, team player, and networker. The position also requires the ability to plan for deadlines in which input from multiple stakeholders will be required, plus travel and meetings in the community. Flexibility is mandatory as responsibilities may change as warranted by program needs. Major duties include: event planning and marketing, student and community engagement and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in Higher Education or High School setting
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to applicants who have:
- Prior experience working with high school students
- Familiarity with area school districts and high schools
- Familiarity with UWM or public university setting
- Event planning, and recruitment or outreach experience
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Experience working with Slate and Peoplesoft
- Excellent organizational skills
