Under supervision of the the Inventory Control Supervisor, this position functions as the Inventory Control Coordinator. The position is responsible for assessing stock supply and submitting orders; verifying shipment receipts, and maintaining deliveries across multiple campus locations, while also maintaining inventory records to ensure unit has appropriate inventory.
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating orders and communicating with the shops on status and availability of supplies, parts, materials, and equipment utilized by Facility Services. The position requires a detailed individual experienced in warehouse operations with a heavy focus on Computerized Warehouse Management systems.

The hiring pay range is $17-18 per hour; the ﬁnal hourly rate is dependent upon the ﬁnalist’s experience, education, qualiﬁcations and equity within the department.
Applicants for this vacancy must:
- Have one year or more of work experience in a similar role
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver license (or other such valid operator’s permit recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation) and be able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on state business as detailed here: https://uwm.edu/risk-management/drivers/
- Evidence of ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
- Demonstrated customer service experience
Experience using common business software and applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet browsers, etc.)
- Willingness to drive a box truck and forklift
Highly qualified candidates will also have:
- Experience using TMA or another computerized maintenance management system
- Forklift experience and certification
- Box truck experience
- Experience in a warehousing/inventory position
- Demonstrated purchasing experience
