Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. May provide mentoring, training and technology handoff materials to other team members and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of HPC concepts, solutions, architectures and integration tasks.
  • Complete & prove-out the final customer-specific integration of HPE HPC solutions.
  • Primarily a software and problem-solver role across multiple HPC systems and programs, focused on pre-acceptance phase of solutions
  • Manage interdependencies and integration of a solution thru pre-acceptance stages, working with engineering, integration, sales, and other teams
  • Develop robust as built documentation, run guides, and other related operational lifecycle materials derived from system readiness processes and meant to guide maintenance guidelines, and protecting the implementation of infrastructure
  • Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customer.
  • Provide suggestions for operational efficiencies.
  • Give inputs to operational methods that may affect future implementation of HPC solutions strategy
  • Work overview:
    • Strong problem solver
    • Strong at Linux or able to be strong
    • Good experience with networking, storage, HPC is helpful
    • Security + preferred
  • Will work with hardware and systems in manufacturing environment, integration centres, remotely and as systems are shipped to customers site for test and acceptance periods prior to operational hand over to customer and delivery ops
  • Success measured by a formal acceptance occurring on-schedule

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 5 + years working experience in related fields desired.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Specific task expertise beyond what is stated for that role generally
    • Strong problem solver
    • Experience in problem Mgmt and process improvements (SW Eng, HW Eng, BU, R&D)
    • Strong at Linux or able to be strong
    • Good experience with networking, storage, HPC is helpful
  • Expected certifications/prequalification’s
    • Security+
    • AGILE, CMMI, ITIL preferred
  • Site access/clearance needs and location
    • US TS/SCI with poly expected
    • US Citizen required
    • Often Travels with HW to customer site from factory
    • Specific location sometimes important but not in some cases.
    • Travel: 50-60%
