Geospatial Scientist SME – Strategic Alliance Consulting, Inc – Springfield, VA

Strategic ACI is seeking a Geospatial Scientist (SME). You will be on a team providing technical and subject matter expertise support to NGA Research for existing and planned R&D programs, market research of emerging and existing state of the art technologies, acquisition of new capabilities, organizational management including business process and communications, and support to technology transfer and transition.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with technology protection and transition teams for each research effort.
• Demonstrate oral and written communications, including the ability to prepare briefings of technical material to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Respond to technical agency taskers for the pod.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Demonstrated coursework (24 semester hours) or at least 1 peer-reviewed publication in one or more of the following technical areas: Spatial and/or Temporal data mining, ST databases, ST statistics; machine learning, or cybersecurity.
• Greater than or equal to 20 years of work experience in a relevant field.

Desired:

• Experience in performing research in spatial and/or temporal (ST) data mining, ST databases, and ST statistics; machine learning and cybersecurity.
• Experience in analyzing and making sense of geospatial imagery and spatial and/or temporal information, evaluating research performance metrics, and working with scientists on research projects.
• Experience in coordinating testing & evaluation of research efforts and transitioning research into operational environments.
• Experience in collaborating with IC and DoD agencies on research projects in relevant areas.
• Experience in planning and tracking progress of complex technical projects.
• Experience coordinating technical exchange meetings and working groups.
