Data Scientist-Senior – Strategic Alliance Consulting, Inc – Springfield, VA

Strategic ACI is seeking a Senior Data Scientist. You will be on a team providing technical and subject matter expertise support to NGA Research for existing and planned R&D programs, market research of emerging and existing state of the art technologies, acquisition of new capabilities, organizational management including business process and communications, and support to technology transfer and transition.

Responsibilities:

• Create reports and visualizations that summarize data sets and provide data driven insights to customers.
• Work with SMEs to translate manual data analysis into automated analytics and with developers for proper algorithm implementation.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or PhD in one of the following areas: Mathematics/Statistics; Computer Science; and Domain Expertise/Analysis. Government or military training and/or education may be substituted for degree.
• Greater than or equal to 15 years of work experience in the above areas (to include government or military experience).

Desired:

• Experience developing machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze and make sense of data sets.
• Experience testing and down-selecting algorithms for models fit.
• Experience developing experiments to generate data when training/example data sets are unavailable.
